Primary School looted in Yei’s Central Equatoria State

Salaam Primary School in Yei town of Central Equatoria State is reported to have been looted by unknown criminals last week.
The looters are said to have made away with school teaching and learning resources including textbooks and other classroom materials.
They also burnt down the school’s administrative block (office).
Schools across South Sudan were closed on 20th March this year as a measure intended to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Yei is lately experiencing a new wave of insecurity characterized by road ambushes, looting, robberies, raping, killings and theft.
